I always hear these quotes of India as a 'spiritual', 'religious' nation and how the new world is looking upon India as a beckon of non violence and vegetarianism. I have nothing against vegans, though I am a die hard beef fan, but India as a non violent region of relative peace is a myth. Violence has been a part of the human world ever since its inception and India has had its own share of bloodshed.
I want to talk about the worsts now, the partition of India, millions had to trek through thousands of miles in order to find food and drink. This partition saw the most heinous of crimes being committed in the name of religion.The death toll was amazingly high in Punjab and Bengal where the states were divided into two to accommodate the two religious groups.
