God is either almighty or good, because if he is both,
the evil cannot exist.
a.) So god is either good and he is trying to remove
evil, but failing because he is not almighty.
b.) Because if he were almighty he can make evil vanish
in a instance
c.) But is not doing it because he DOESNOT CARE. So God
cannot be almighty and good at the same time.
He can only be almighty and neutral.
You might argue that we create evil by our karma, so
check the next slide.. [contd]
Let us say Mr X committed a crime by stealing bread.
Police will find him guilty of stealing and put him in jail.
In reality Mr X might by stealing that bread to feed his
family who were hungry for days.
The universe works in a simply fundamental, cause and
effect.
What we think of us debating on this issue, is simply the
effect of multiple causes. Including our decisions.
Our decisions are infact caused by electrochemical
reactions.
The neurons pump up massive amount of electrical
discharge based on countless algorithms.
What we think is OUR decision is predictable and
calculable decisions made by these electrochemical reactions.
That brings us to the questions of our own
individuality... Who are we actually..
[contd]
This is the simplest question of all. The answer is the
universe itself. We are merely star dust.
It will be star dust that forms the embryo.
It will be star dust that eats, drinks, sleeps.
It will be star dust that writes the Equality of Man
It will be star dust that creates Empires and builds
massive monuments.
It will be star dust when the planet itself is gone.
That brings us to a critical question of why should we do
what we do... [contd]
Another very simple question and the equally simple yet
important answer is - None.
a. There is no purpose for life .
b. Giving a purpose for life is ones own decision
You may want to ask, if there is no purpose why are we
living ... [contd]
Life is everywhere, the barrier between the living and
the non living is vague, infact it is artificial.
Life can be organic or inorganic. Living beings maybe
programmed to take decisions of their own or maybe directed to take only a few
keys steps in their life, like trees.
The only thing common amongst all living things - be it a
tree, human, bird, bacteria or even your influenza virus (just an object with a
genetic code) is that - it doesnot want to die, it wants to reproduce and
spread.
So another critical question that might come in your mind
is - How did all this begin... [contd]
How did the universe begin?
The most irrelevant question because to 'begin' the
universe you need a timescale. Before the universe there was no time, no time
to shoot the gun in the air and say 'begin'.
So, No time for someone to create the universe.
Now you might say - Wait, so all this is an accident?
- Nope, this is all normal.
You might now say, hey.. everything ends, so what happens
when we end... [contd]
What happens when you die ?
Simple, the same state you were before your birth. Did
you feel any pleasure/pain before you birth?
No : Good, you will be in the same state after your
death.
Yes : Stop bluffing and get your head checked.
Your question now might be...Wait ! So nothing happens if
we die and there is also no particular aim of life, so lets get the most
pleasure, even at the cost of others...... [contd]
The Answer to the Moral Argument
a. Descriptive morality is explained by Evolution and is
based on the species' genetic survival .
b. Prescriptive morality , telling people what they
should and shouldn't do is merely an illusion , it is infact power imperative
disguised as a statement of fact.
[contd]
Wait, so you have no morality, no purpose of life, next
thing you might say is - it is ok to rape women.
I would say - If you had the authority to do whatever you
want, would you exploit others for money and favors?
Why should the fear of going to hell and thoughts of the
pleasures of heaven shroud your actions?
Goodness should come from within, not because that you
will get some kind of reward as enlightenment.
