The Brief Meeting - the siege of Dalaran continued

The evening passed by preparing logistics, a supply for cheese and bread, that was the only source of diet for the troops, had fallen low. A shipment of cheese was seized on its way to our camp. My guess was that the Earl's forces of privateers was behind this. I along with two of my trusted guards embarked on a scouting  mission to check out what was happening.

I was accessing my weapons and preparing the saddle when I saw the princess of Dalaran tending to the wounds of an injured soldier. I asked her if she knew the soldiers. She could name all of them. My minister general Sagae whispered me in the ear, "an alliance with Dalaran's kingdom would deter the Earl from attacking again." The minister was from the state of Dalaran and had links to the royalties in the state.

I knew what he meant by an 'alliance' here, although it might be advantageous for my army, personally I was not ready for a matrimonial union at this moment, that to in a Dalaranian practice, which involved temporary union between the couples. This, I needed to think over for sometime before I could come to a decision.

But for my generals, it was settled, I had to court her, for that was the only hope.
